The Challenge

What the client was up against

The operator sold complex, multi-part vacation packages — flights, hotels, visa processing, transfers — but ran the whole business through email threads and spreadsheets. Every package change meant a call to an outside developer, enquiries got lost in inboxes, and there was no way to see which destinations were actually converting.

Our Approach

How we solved it

  1. Model the package, not the page

We started by modelling what a package actually is: a destination, a set of inclusions, seasonal pricing, and optional add-ons. Once that structure was right, the marketing site, the enquiry form, and the admin panel could all be generated from the same source of truth instead of being maintained separately.

  2. Give the team the keys

We built a role-gated admin CMS so staff could publish and retire packages, edit destination content, and moderate customer reviews without touching code. Publishing a new seasonal package went from a developer ticket to a five-minute task for the operations team.

  3. Capture every enquiry

Enquiries flow into a single queue with the package context attached, so whoever picks one up already knows what the customer was looking at. Notifications go out immediately, and nothing depends on someone watching a shared inbox.

What We Built

Inside the solution

  • Destination and package browsing with customizable tour options
  • Specialist pilgrimage package flows with their own requirements
  • Trip planning tools and inclusion-by-inclusion package breakdowns
  • Customer testimonials with admin moderation
  • Enquiry management with per-package context and instant notifications
  • Role-based admin CMS for content, pricing, and reviews

Technology

  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • Firebase
  • Firestore
  • Tailwind CSS

The Outcome

Moved package publishing and enquiry handling entirely in-house, off email and spreadsheets.

0
Developer tickets needed to publish a package
1
Unified queue for every customer enquiry
100%
Content managed in-house by the operations team

When the domain model is right, the CMS almost writes itself — and the client stops paying a developer to change a price.
